About us

Graham Wenman
I moved from SW France to Church Stretton on 13 August 2012. I have been a 'mother' in France and in Yorkshire for some years.

I will run a Robinson type 125 MV trap in my garden on Ludlow Road, which faces the Long Mynd. I have already had a very interesting selection of moths.

Mike Shurmer
I started trapping in August 2012, so I am still a beginner to moth trapping and learning quickly. I live on Batch Valley in All Stretton, on the edge of the Shropshire Hills, and regularly trap in my garden. By early September 2012 I had identified around 70 moths, mostly macros as I am just starting to get into the tricky micros.

I trap with a 20w actinic Heath Trap, which is a basic beginners trap but still provides a steady catch of around 50 moths each night. My garden is quite basic, though I have interesting habitats around me with rush meadows, a small area of woodland and grassland.
